Nature ferric ammonium citrate

Also known as ferric ammonium citrate, citric acid and potassium lactate iron FeC6H5O7 ammonium (NH4) 3C6H5O7 complex salt, its composition varies due to synthesis conditions, there is no exact formula. Brown scaly high iron content of 18.5%, the blood can be used as medicine for the treatment of iron deficiency anemia. Green scaly low iron content, 14.5% to 16%. Both are photochemically sensitive materials, green more sensitive than brown. Coated with a green ferric ammonium citrate and potassium ferricyanide (potassium ferricyanide) paper called blue blueprint paper. In the exposure, the trivalent citrate is reduced to divalent iron, which produce Teng's blue water, it is part of that change to blue light, without light part is still white, blue and zinc lactate drawings can be obtained.
Odorless or slightly ammonia smell and mild iron metallic taste. Deliquescent in the air, by the light effects (hydrolysis). Prone to mildew. Easily soluble in water (1g/0.5m1), nearly neutral solution, insoluble in ethanol and ether. 5% aqueous solution pH of about 5.0 to 8.0.
